Situated just south of Chesterfield, Tupton is a warm and welcoming village and Tupton Primary School is at the centre of village life.
First established in 1875 Tupton Primary provides a warm, welcoming and caring learning environment for the children of the village. The school is mainly housed in the original Victorian building, there is also a new classroom block opened in 2001 accommodating three classrooms. The school also has a purpose built Nursery adjacent to the main building which provides an excellent start for children who are three and four years of age.
Tupton Primary School provides a broad and balanced curriculum which supports children in all aspects of their development; both academic and social and emotional. Teachers strive to make their lessons exciting, stretching and interactive to enable children to engage with and enjoy their learning. Children are also involved in a range of Active Learning activities on Fridays, including French, Makaton, film making, drama, environmental activities on the local Wetlands site and many more. These give children an opportunity to experience a wide range of activities and develop a broad range of co-operative, leadership and communication skills.
If you are considering suitable schools for your children please feel free to make an appointment to visit and meet the children and staff of the school.
